What is it about?
Being able to envision the future systematically and creatively is an important ability to deal with changes. We incorporated an futures-thinking online activity into a general science class to help university students develop such ability using the topic of GM food. This study examines how students envision a desirable future through the scaffolding activity.

These findings can serve as important guidance for futures-oriented science instruction.
