What is it about?
Our study looked at why some married women in Indonesia use maternity services and found that education, age, and awareness play a big role. When women and their spouses have more education and when women have children at an older age, they are more likely to use important maternal healthcare services like check-ups during pregnancy and giving birth in a hospital. We also found that it's important for communities to raise awareness about these issues and work to prevent early marriages, teenage pregnancies, and domestic violence to improve the health of mothers and babies.

Why is it important?
Our research stands out because it focuses on specific factors influencing maternal healthcare use in Indonesia using data from 2012. This information is still relevant today as it sheds light on the importance of education, age, and awareness in improving maternal and child health. By highlighting these key factors, our work provides valuable insights that can guide policymakers and healthcare professionals in Indonesia and other similar settings. Understanding these influences can lead to better healthcare strategies and ultimately improve the well-being of mothers and infants. In a world where maternal and child health remains a critical concern, our findings offer timely and practical guidance for making a positive impact.
