What is it about?
One of the health education methods is the use of electronic media such as Short Message Service (SMS). Using SMS is the easiest and cheapest way to increase the literacy level of society about issues that may be less likely to be noticed. We have shown that SMS can be effective in nutritional behavior change related to risk of osteoporosis.

Why is it important?
Few studies have been conducted to investigate the impact of text messages as an educational method in Iran. This is the first study in Iran of which we are aware that evaluated the impact of text messages, through integration with HBM, on behavioral change in adult women, which in turn is one of the strengths of this study.
