Out of 54 translocations that have received some form of follow-up monitoring, 8 have recorded an increase in numbers, 41 found some survivors and 5 found no survivors

Why is it important?
Translocations can be expensive and are often used to mitigate against loss of individuals to development projects. For both of these reasons it is important to know the success rate for the long term viability of the translocated populations.
