What is it about?

Microplastics pollution is one of the emerging pollution problems of the 21st century. Worldwide scientific interest is growing day by day on the occurrence, distribution, and fate of microplastics in the environment and biotic system. Hence, in this synthesis, a brief overview of microplastics, covering its source, global occurrence, impacts, remediation and implication in a developing country setting, like Bangladesh is provided.
