Why is it important?
The book is a sort of anticipatory criticism of 2009's Bouchard-Taylor Report. Guy Durand would reject interculturalism in favor of an immigrant experience based on integration into Québécois culture though an understanding of the society's historical trajectory, which includes both Catholicism and anti-clericalism.
Perspectives
The author promotes a net-Catholic position that has virtues and limitations.
