What is it about?
The effect of operating conditions on the oil yield, total tocopherols compounds, and total carotene compounds were investigated. Estimation of extraction rate by using Esquivel model and solubility of solute in SC-CO2 by using semi-empirical models (Chrastil and Del Valle Aguilera) were also examined.

Why is it important?
Our finding reveals that the empirical models could be used for estimation of the yield of supercritical CO2 extraction. The model was fitted well with the experimental results.
Perspectives
The empirical models can be applied for estimation of supercritical CO2 extraction yield in industrial scale.
