What is it about?
In the cultivation of organic paddy rice, the weeding of Monochoria vaginalis is the most serious problem. Although many Japanese farmers try to eliminate it by applying rice bran, its use has been limited because its effectiveness varies for unknown reasons. Thus, we analyzed the mechanism using EC in soil solution as a chemical indicator

Why is it important?
There is a negative and significant corelationship between the EC in soil solution and the germination. Namely, we can use the EC as a chemical indicator. Toxins such as ferrous iron and organic acid were presumably attributed to the EC values
