What is it about?
In this study, I mapped Participedia, the largest and most completed crowdsourcing platform for democratic innovations in the world. I evaluated democratic innovations from an empirical point of view and inductively uncovered new typologies of democratic innovations beyond existing theoretical taxonomical accounts.

This study proposes the first systematic comparative analysis of rea-world democratic innovations.
Perspectives
While empirically this article provides new understanding of how classifying democratic innovations; methodologically it proposes a new strategy to map complex datasets with a heterogeneous sets of data.
