What is it about?

Simvastatin has been used for a long time in animal studies and has provided a positive results as a potent osteoinductive material, however its application did not have its way in humans until the ideal carrier and concentration was identified. This study represent the first application of Simvastatin in human sinus to evaluate both its safety and effectiveness.

Why is it important?

This study will pave the road for further clinical trials using Simvastatin in humans that may lead to the development of even a better carrier and concentration complex, which may help provide an effective replacement for autogenous bone in reconstructive surgeries.

Perspectives

I hope that this article will encourage more researchers to investigate the osteoinductive potentials of Simvastatin in humans , which i believe that it may represent a breakthrough in the ongoing process of searching for an ideal substitute for autogenous bone.
