What is it about?
Majocchi’s granuloma is a cutaneous dermatophyte infection of dermal and subcutaneous tissue mostly localized at trauma-prone areas in healthy individuals. Various species of dermatophytes can cause Majocchi’s granuloma, both in immunocompetent and immunocompromised hosts.

Why is it important?
We describe an immunocompetent patient developing Majocchi’s granuloma caused by Trichophyton tonsurans on the right cheek, which, to the best of our knowledge, has never been reported.
