What is it about?

Historical meteorological data of Makurdi location in Nigeria was used to create an ANN ensemble model for the prediction of Global solar radiation data for Makurdi, using meteorological parameters that can be easily measured with instruments that are handy, common and that can be easily acquired.

Why is it important?

Using ANN ensemble model has has enhanced the accuracy of global solar radiation data predictions thereby improving the reliability and dependency of the data generated by the model

Perspectives

Most times, getting solar insolation data which is vital in solar energy design and policy formulation is often difficult in developing economies. This is because of lack of availability of measuring equipment. I believe the outcome of the research will help solar energy researchers and investors in developing economies with reliable solar insolation data.
