What is it about?

Organophosphates pesticides are among the most common causes of acute and chronic poisoning worldwide. Enzymatic detection of organophosphates pesticides based on inhibition of enzyme was developed using colorimetric techniques. The enzymatic assay exhibited detection limits in the ranges of 0.05–2.0 ng/ml.

Why is it important?

The method is a feasible option for detection of organophosphates pesticides, offering good sensitivity, a linear response, and a low detection limit.

Perspectives

We hope this article is a convincing job in defense of enzymatic methods to quantify pesticides.
