The paper throws light on who is affected by the generated traffic noise in mixed-mode traffic environments and why this matters. although everyone is aware that it is stressful to use or be in such environments stakeholders recommend faster modes which generate noise and disregard non-intrusive modes like the bicycle, rickshaw etc.
