What is it about?

Honey bees are susceptible to insecticide toxicity in laboratory studies but less so in field studies

Featured Image

Why is it important?

As long as the beehive has a healthy and productive queen a bee colony may cope with insecticide toxicity unless immune suppression occurs, which may render the bee colony susceptible to pathogens

Perspectives

Field studies with honey bees can not be used to demonstrate absence of insecticide toxicity
