What is it about?

We study seawater intrusion by establishing models. On the scheme of preventing and controlling seawater intrusion, the optimal design of infiltration wall based on surrogate model was introduced, in order to greatly reduce the research time. The best scheme considering many factors such as economic development and groundwater utilization was put forward.

Why is it important?

For the study of seawater intrusion, we used surrogate model and optimization model, providing new ideas for other researchers. At the same time, the design of the cut-off seepage wall is of practical value considering all aspects.

Perspectives

We hope that the research ideas and methods introduced in this paper can provide effective references for the management of seawater intrusion in local areas in the future. In particular, to provide solutions for the relevant regulatory departments of governments in developing countries such as China.
