What is it about?
This paper presents a case study exploring the perspectives of a group of students on reading and reading-related activities, drawing some conclusions as to what educators can do to promote an enjoyment of reading among young people.

Why is it important?
Reading is beneficial to many aspects of education and personal growth yet, in an age of technology and instantaneous gratification, there is a danger of young people reading less. It is important for educators to investigate into this and understand what can be done to motivate young people to read more.
