What is it about?

This article studies the system of whistle blowing in the interest of the public in Nigeria. It creates an awareness of the system of whistle blowing by highlighting the potential benefits of the regime in the fight against corruption in Nigeria.

Why is it important?
The article finds that Nigeria lacks adequate laws to protect whistle blowers that expose misconduct or illegalities in the interest of the public. It gave reasons why the Whistle Blower Protection Bill 2015 needs to be the existing law. It also suggests ways of creating an awareness of the system of whistle blowing using the current laws in Nigeria.
