Why is it important?
It is important for current politics in the Nordic countries, among other western nations, that the history of their anti-apartheid movements should be recorded as a progressive component of their history, but it is even more important for the peoples of southern Africa to have access to those records to be able to fully understand their history. The global part of this history is also part of their national heritage and self-knowledge.
