Why is it important?
This paper is important since transition to adult life had not been investigated much with young adults with high-functioning autism spectrum disorders. To help them participate, we must know more on the barriers and enablers related to different aspects of their social participation. This will help orient local, provincial and national policymakers as well as clinicians, educators and researchers in the development of optimal social participation with this population.
