What is it about?
Uses a special kind of very sparse (parsimonious) feature selection to choose a small number of genes from around 35,000 that are important when stem cells are forced to become bone when exposed to strontium ions

Why is it important?
It provides an explanation of how an effective treatment for osteoporosis, and other conditions causing bone loss, works. It also provides a rational way to design more effective drugs for growing bone
