What is it about?
This publication measures, using a systematic approach, the divergence of the neutron beam at RADEN, one of the world's most advanced facilities for neutron imaging. The results show a clear positive difference between the simulated values and the previous measures, showcasing a need to further study the subject.

Why is it important?
There is a widely known discrepancy between the calculation and simulation of neutron beam divergences and the actual measurements. Surprisingly, the discrepancy is positive, implying that the facilities perform better than the simulations or calculations predict. This showcases the fact that the phenomenon is not yet well understood.
