What is it about?
There exist diverse technological applications where the rotating components operate under extreme thermal conditions, and require efficient cooling techniques. Altering the surface texture of the rotating components improves the cooling performance.

Why is it important?
Particular to the rotating disk flow, it is important to know the impact of surface non-flatness on the flow and heat transfer characteristics. This study addresses this question by considering five different surface textures of a rotating disk. The results explain how the surface non-flatness contributes to enhance the cooling performance of rotating disk flow.
