What is it about?
This article presents a quantitative relation between particle morphology and their scattering properties. It gives a formula to define the complexity of a particle and demenstrate its correlation with the so-called asymmetry parameter of the scattering phase function.

Why is it important?
This work is important because it introduces a new mathematical concept called Cp parameter, which measures the smoothness of a phase fucntion. In addition, this work demenstrates its usefulness in applying this new concept for better understanding the morphology of particles and its relation to their scattering properties. This method brings new types of solution to problems called inverse scattering problems.
