What is it about?
This paper examines whether the combination of Machine Learning (ML), a branch of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and of data collected employing conventional bevarioural measures to distinguish ASD individuals from control ones can lead to objective autism detection.

Why is it important?
It is important to acquire an early Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis which can lead to early intervention. Our findings show that Machine Learning could offer promising methods for early, objective and accurate ASD classification compared to conventional autism assessment ones.
Perspectives
In our opinion, this article can play an important role in autism research offering new, objective, affordable and accurate methodologies for autism detection.
