we specifically examine electron spin waves in semiconductors and magnons in magnetic materials as new information carriers that can develop the new concept of spin-based parallel computing and multiple information storage based on their wave characteristics.

Why is it important?
Waves show unique characteristics such as diffraction and interference, which are distinguished from the particle nature of electrons. Because we are facing rapid increases in the already vast amounts of information available through the internet of things, artificial intelligence, and quantum technologies, there is growing interest in using the multiplicity and parallelism of waves for high-density transmission, parallel processing, and storing of that information. We use an electron's spin to generate spin wave and specifically explain the use of physical properties of electron spin waves for implementing wave-based parallel information processing.
