Authentically embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander science into mainstream school science can be challenging. We present some practical examples of how teachers can use Eight Ways of Knowing (Yunkapora, 2009) to braid Indigenous science into 21st century science education

Why is it important?
It is important for teachers and educators to be inclusive of the cultures of all students they teach so that all students feel valued and to increase engagement. In this article we give an example of how Australian Abori ginal and Torres Strait Islander Perspectives can be included in science education.
