Development of the ceramic jewelry industry in the form of necklaces with Indonesian batik motifs

What is it about?

This study describes developing a new embossed jewelry ceramic product with Indonesia Batik Motif (IBMotif). Several Indonesian batik motifs were selected and designed into 3D ornaments onto the surface of the ceramic pendant using artistic CAD CAM technology. After the design of the master model of the jewelry pendant was obtained, ceramic fabrication was carried out on the production floor until a jewelry pendant product with an IBM motif was obtained.

Why is it important?

Developing a jewelry product pendant with an IBM motif is crucial because it is rare to find pendants made of porcelain ceramic material with embossed ornaments that are characteristic of regional culture which is dimensionally, in shape and size exact, accurate, and unique in color.
