What is it about?
The Covid-19 pandemic is continuing and has an impact on changing lifestyles worldwide. Since mid-June 2020, Islamic boarding schools learning has been carried out with the blended method. The fundamental purpose of this study is to ascertain the santris' knowledge, attitudes, perceptions, and prevention behavior during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Why is it important?
The findings indicated that just a few respondents possess sufficient information regarding the indications, symptoms, and transmission of Covid-19; nevertheless, santris have a moderate level of knowledge regarding Covid-19 protection.

Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This article also lead to rare disease groups contacting me and ultimately to a greater involvement in rare disease research
