What is it about?
This article shows that equations solved in LES of transcritical real gas flows need to be complemented by two subgrid-scale terms that don't exist in perfect gas: SGS pressure and SGS pressure work. No model exists for those terms in the inertial zone of the turbulence spectrum. A DNS database is made available to other research teams to test ideas and propose new modeling strategies.
