Why is it important?

With the growth in automobile industry, the remarkable advance in vehicle horn technology to meet the customer requirement. Driven by customer demand, recent Electric horns are fully capable of small in size with a higher performance. However, size effect on performance of such parts with mechanical and acoustical characteristics has been considered to be a bottleneck in size optimization of diaphragm in vehicle horn to meet the minimum first resonance frequency.

Perspectives

This articles shows that, the results are very significance and it gives a new path to synthesis the design of horns using the CAE method. This methodology helps to reduce the development time of new low tone horns by avoiding trial and error methods.
