What is it about?
This paper proposes the design of the conventional microstrip antenna at millimeter frequencies and its improvement using superstrate technique. The proposed design operates at 28 GHz and provides wide bandwidth and high gain compared to the conventional design and previous studies.

Why is it important?
The use of FR4 material in printed antennas is a challenge, despite its easy availability, but it does not provide the high performance expected in 5G antennas. Therefore, the proposed antenna uses inexpensive materials and provides significant performance compared to previous studies, in addition to the small size of the antenna.
