Why is it important?

The research alerts government agencies, all those interested in traffic safety, and the general community to the importance of taking effective measures to control traffic accidents and reduce the number of deaths and injuries by half by the year 2030, as stipulated in the Sustainable Development Goals approved by the United Nations.

Perspectives

The problem of matching data between the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Interior had a major impact on the accuracy of statistics. Therefore, the World Health Organization adopts a special formula to estimate traffic accident victims in a large number of countries, including Iraq, which does not provide the required accuracy in national accident data.
