What is it about?

Nanostructured detector based on graphene quantum dot for electron spin resonance detection of organic radical was demonstrated. Such on-chip detector approach reduces lab expenses on instrument, cooling costs, and it is possible to recycle the detector.

Why is it important?

We have reported proof-of-concept bolometric detection of organic radical by using a nanostructured graphene quantum dots. This approach eliminates the detection arm in the spectrometer by the direct measurement of samples on the bolometric chip.

Perspectives

It is a result of our collaborative effort to use graphene-based devices and magnetic resonance.
