What is it about?

The tungsten trioxide powders could be used in some applications such as water purification and hydrogen generation. Thus, the study of the properties of tungsten trioxide as thin film or powder is necessary to propose it for practical applications.

Why is it important?

There is a renewed interest in tungsten trioxide due to it exhibits characteristics for several applications. Raman scattering technique is a method to understand the internal structure of tungsten trioxide. The color of tungsten trioxide was associated to its Raman spectra.

Perspectives

If the structure of tungsten trioxide can be controlled, then the electrical, optical, magnetic, mechanical and so on properties can be also controlled.
