What is it about?
This article is about developing a novel method to measure fragmentation in construction projects. As a latent construct, fragmentation can now be measured to determine its impact on other variables such as project performance.

Why is it important?
This article contributes to understanding and, expanding the concept of fragmentation. This phenomenon has been long under debate and researchers claimed that it cause many problems in construction projects. However, there was no evidence to support this claim. This paper provides the first step to measure fragmentation and determine its real impact. By understanding fragmentation better in construction projects, we can now know how to overcome its impact.
