Why is it important?

It is the first to develop a typology of international entrepreneurial opportunity evaluation rules, which are called simple, revised and complex rules. It proposes a Time-based Process model that reconciles extant internationalization models’ (i.e., Process, Network, Economics, and Entrepreneurship) different explanations regarding why and how firms internationalize.

Perspectives

It contains original ideas, by marrying the philosophical foundation of opportunity, decision making models of entrepreneurs, and theories of internationalization to develop a new perspective about smaller firms venturing to international markets.
