Why is it important?

Polymeric materials when doped with rare earth do not present limitations (contrary to the organic crystals) in terms of the mechanical properties, ease processing ability and chemical and physical stability.Eu-doped polymer also finds a wide range of application and so it is of interest to study their luminescent properties.

Perspectives

The optimization was found. When the PC percentage diminishes (or when PMMA amount increases) no saturation of the maximum signal PA is observed. In addition, normalized thermal diffusivity is higher for 2/8 (%PC/%PMMA) blend and the specific heat was almost constant.
