What is it about?
We introduce a modified assignment plan for reactive power based on tower height. The goal of the proposed plan is to maximize the reactive power reserve and minimize the system loss caused by the power flow in the inner-grid of the wind farm. The assignment of reactive power takes place after the management system receives the TSO order for real power, and the aim is to identify an appropriate signal for each turbine by solving a multi-objective model that involves the network loss of the inner system within the required response time.

Why is it important?
To find the practical effect of the proposed control scheme, the real system information and the exemplary situations including wind fluctuation were applied from case studies. The main contribution can be summarized as follows. - To implement loss reduction strategy in the reactive power assignment process by handling flow equations with practical consideration. - To develop an adaptive reactive power control method to supplement controller which has the duty of executing reactive power control continuously by focusing on the system order
