Why is it important?
Afghanistan, especially its huge population city, Kabul is intensively under consideration for renewable energy development due to severe shortage of electricity and dependency to unreliable import power. The electricity provider and distributor company, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat DABS is currently intended to invest in renewable energy resources such as the wind and solar for the country. So applying the current idea to distribution networks not only diminish the network losses and quality issues but at the same time will cover parts of load shedding due to power supply shortages. It will deduce and postpone the transmission lines extension thus saving money for their investments.
