What is it about?

Detection of the start of a frame is an important step for the reliable operation of many communication systems. In this paper, we studied an important frame detection algorithm called the differential correlation based frame detector. The performance analysis of this detector has not been studied well in the existing literature. We provided closed form expressions to analyse this frame detector.

Why is it important?

This research is important because it provides closed form expression to determine the performance of the differential correlation based frame detector. It removes the need to perform long simulations to evaluate the performance of communication system in terms of the probability of frame detection.

Perspectives

Working on this article was a great pleasure for me. I worked closely with my co-authors. It provided me the opportunity to work with international collaborators as well. I hope that the readers will find this article very interesting and thought-provoking.
