What is it about?
Point-to-point communication channels with phase noise have been studied extensively. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, the broadcast channel (BC) with phase noise has not been studied yet. In this study, having reviewed definitions of the channels with phase noise, the authors analyse capacity region of the BC impaired by Wiener phase noise and additive white Gaussian noise and obtain an outer bound for the capacity region. Also, its high signal-to-noise ratio analysis is presented. Their outer bound includes the known outer bound for the point-to-point phase noise channel as its special case. Mathematical findings are explained more by simulation results.
