What is it about?
The soft-switching in inverter is an important goal to realize. We have proposed a topology and strategy to make the switches in inverter are turned-on in ZVS. The characteristic of DAB can be utilized to produce a high frequency pulse DC link, thus switches in inverter can be thoroughly soft-switched.

Why is it important?
With the rapid development of microgrids, isolated bidirectional DC–AC inverters are ubiquitous in lots of applications, including grid connected uninterruptible power supply (UPS), renewable power energy system, electric vehicles, and so on. With widely adopted in aforementioned applications, bidirectional inverter is necessary to be developed to realize higher flexibility and higher efficiency .
