What is it about?

With the emergence of new communication such as 5G, higher frequencies in the millimetre-wave range are going to spread in commercial products. The measurement of performance of wireless devices has to involve over-the-air testing which requires the use antenna measurement systems. The size of these systems and anechoic chambers which go with them is a critical economical parameter. This paper addresses the question of the minimum acceptable size of such systems for preserving a high measurement accuracy.

Why is it important?

The cost and space usage of anechoic chamber based systems is critical as the need for such measurement tools is multiplying.
