What is it about?
The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of remote technologies in speech and voice therapy, and we offer a snapshot into what the future may look like. We talk about key challenges, give examples of emerging tools, provide a vision on how these tools come together, and offer a few barriers that need to be overcome.

Why is it important?
Our findings leverage our expertise in this space to offer very practical examples. We discuss AI-driven technologies, real-time health data collection, VR, and much more and how they could be incorporated into day-to-day practice. For example, instead of assessing speech real-time in the clinic, a SLP might review the patient’s speech or voice data from real-life scenarios and then remotely direct the patient on how to address any new issues.
