What is it about?
Dysphagia management is often viewed through a biomedical lens, focusing primarily on curative measures. Patient-centered care may not be adequately supported by this model. Backward design in dysphagia management begins with the patient's end goal to drive the plan of care; thus, promoting more equitable, inclusive, and quality care for people of diverse backgrounds.
