What is it about?
Our paper on individual differences during the overnight consolidation of lexical tones is out! The research revealed an effect of pitch aptitude on the overnight consolidation of novel tones in the high-variability training condition (but not in the low- variability training condition), with high-aptitude learners retaining tones better than their low-aptitude counterparts. The finding suggests learners might have individualized difficulty learning tones through memory consolidation.
