What is it about?
This article explores how racism, privilege, power, and positionality negatively impacts communication sciences and disorders research. A complete restructuring of the research process is needed to make the necessary changes. This restructuring calls for changes in the ways that research questions and hypotheses are formed, methods are selected, data are analyzed/interpreted, and those individuals involved in the research process.
