What is it about?
Children with developmental language disorder have been shown to have difficulty with some types of attention skills. This study shows that attentional weaknesses extend to children who speak two languages. We did not find any evidence that speaking two languages improves attention skills, either in children with developmental language disorder or in children with typical language development.
