This is the first study to investigate the oral narrative retell and comprehension skills of verbal preschool-age children with autism.

Why is it important?
Oral narrative skills during the preschool years are important skills for future reading compehension. An increased understanding of the early challenges children with autism have in oral narrative skills will help direct intervention.
